Ranbir Kapoor's Animal directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga, is enjoying a dream run at the box office. The film, released on Friday, December 1, was leaked online hours after. In less than 24 hours after its release, the film was available on certain sites. The film centered on the intricate dynamics between a father and son, has received commendations from critics despite its inclusion of intense scenes involving bloodshed, violence, and controversial elements.

The film, also starring Anil Kapoor, Rashmika Mandanna and Bobby Deol, had been leaked through various torrent platforms, including Telegram. Not just this, the movie is being circulated on WhatsApp channels akin to a typical forwarded message. According to sources, they have watched the film hours after the first show in HD version.

Animal, Ranbir Kapoor and Rashmika Mandanna's first joint venture, is focused on the toxic relationship between a father and son, the film has received an 'A' certificate from the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) and runs for a duration of 3 hours and 35 minutes. It shattered records by earning a staggering Rs 61 crore at the Indian box office on its opening day.
As per Sacnilk, 'Animal' raked in an estimated Rs 72.50 crore on its third day, contributing to its remarkable box office performance. The movie had earlier earned Rs 66.27 crore on day 2, summing up its overall collection to approximately Rs 202.57 crore. Notably, 'Animal' has surpassed the Rs 100 crore milestone in the Hindi belt, solidifying its impressive success at the box office.

Recently, social media users criticised Trisha after she lauded 'Animal' with a glowing review. The Leo actress took to her Instagram Stories to express her admiration for the film. Posting a picture of Ranbir Kapoor's poster, she hailed the movie as 'cult' and added expressive emojis. However, this post received backlash from many on social media.
After Trisha deleted her post, screenshots of her post was surfaced on X, causing widespread trolling and criticism. Many started condemning her for endorsing a film perceived to 'glorify toxic men.' Social media users pointed out her previous stance against Mansoor Ali Khan's comments and questioned how she could support a movie seen as misogynistic and disrespectful towards women. "Why are you glorifying this sh*t movie. Cult?!! Cult?! Seriously!? Even men are calling out but actresses are hyping this?! I can’t with this herd mentality. Women, just stop. Stop glorifying, hyping Animal movie," a user wrote.
