Ranbir Kapoor is gearing up to embark on the most demanding project of his cinematic journey. In Nitesh Tiwari's epic drama 'Ramayana,' the actor is set to portray the role of Lord Ram. Ever since rumours about the film began circulating, it has been making headlines. Although the details have been kept confidential by makers, leaked images and videos purportedly from the sets have surfaced online. This suggests that filming for the movie has commenced. Fans are now eagerly anticipating further updates about the project.
The leaked footage depicts the construction of architectural structures that will transport audiences to the ancient era depicted in the film. One of the images captured the set under construction, showcasing numerous pillars and wooden walls, along with a dome structure resembling a temple. An Instagram user dropped these from Ramayana sets with a caption, "Ramayana Day 1."

Meanwhile, Ranbir Kapoor has commenced preparations for his role. Images of him alongside his archery instructor were circulated on social media by his admirers. A picture of Ranbir executing a headstand was posted by his trainer, Nam and alongside it, he wrote, "#ranbirkapoor First Headstand #headstand #ramayan #newskill #trainingwithnam #prep," confirming that the actor is now training for the film. In another series of images, Ranbir is purportedly captured with his archery instructor. Dressed casually in a grey T-shirt and shorts, the actor is surrounded by arrows placed on the table around him.

Nitesh Tiwari's ambitious project, 'Ramayana,' is gaining momentum as prominent Bollywood actors sign on to portray pivotal roles in this epic saga. The legendary tale is set to be depicted across a trilogy, with reports suggesting Ranbir Kapoor will play Lord Rama, Sai Pallavi as Sita Maa, Yash portraying Raavan, and Sunny Deol embodying Lord Hanuman.
Lara Dutta is reportedly set to portray Kaikeyi, one of King Dashratha's wives. The first installment is slated for release on Diwali 2025, followed by subsequent parts. The creators are gearing up to unveil the project on the auspicious occasion of Ram Navami, scheduled for April 17, 2024. Filming for the initial segment began this month, aiming to conclude by July, with a target for a Diwali 2025 release.
The Animal actor is said to be undergoing voice and diction training under director Nitesh Tiwari's guidance to infuse his character with a distinct vocal tone and speech pattern. The project promises to be a cinematic spectacle, with over five years invested in pre-production to meticulously craft and execute the script and visuals.
