Raveer Allahbadia Controversy: Actress and controversial character Rakhi Sawant unexpectedly defended Ranveer Allahbadia aka BeerBiceps. Many people have been criticising the YouTuber for his offensive comment on Samay Raina's show India's Got Latent, which has caused controversy surrounding his name. He was chastised for his sexual remarks against parents.

Rakhi Sawant admitted that Ranveer Allahbadia should be excused even if his remark was inappropriate. She wrote, "Forgive him yaar. It’s okay happen, sometimes forgive him. I know he did wrong, but forgive him (sic)."

The uproar first started when Ranveer Allahbadia asked a candidate, "Would you rather watch your parents have s*x for the rest of your life, or would you join in once and stop it forever?" on India's Got Latent. The question, which came as a shock to the panelists and the live audience, has since drawn significant criticism.

For the unaware, Rahul Easwar, an activist, has reported Ranveer Allahbadia to the Maharashtra Women's Commission and the Mumbai Commissioner. The show's organisers, Samay Raina, and social media personality Apoorva Makhija, commonly known as The Rebel Kid, who was on the panel, are also named in the FIR in addition to Ranveer.

The National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) ordered YouTube to take down the contentious video after the commotion. In a letter to YouTube, NHRC member Priyank Kanoongo asked that the 'obscene and vulgar' material starring Ranveer Allahbadia be taken down from the program.

Many questioned the extent to which content regulations applied, especially to OTT services and online platforms.
