Rekhachithram OTT Release: Asif Ali's entry into the new year with Rekhachithram, an investigative drama that hit the big screens on January 9, 2025. Talking about the plot of the movie, a suspended officer returns following a gambling controversy. Assigned to solve a murder case involving an anonymous victim that dates back 40 years, he aims to find redemption by uncovering the enduring mystery.
Now the latest reports suggest that the movie is gearing up for its OTT release. Even while there's no official confirmation, OTTplay reports that the movie will start streaming on SonyLIV. Yes, you read that right!

Rekhachithram Box Office Report
Two weeks after the Malayalam crime thriller premiere, the movie brought in over Rs 50 crore worldwide on Wednesday, January 22. Rekhachithram continued to perform quite well at the box office. With its most recent collection, the Asif Ali starrer also saw a staggering 300%+ increase in returns.
However, Rekhachithram made about 14 lakhs on its twentieth day and Rs 19 lakh on its nineteenth. It had made 81 lakhs the day before, therefore this was a significant decline of nearly 76%. The movie has now brought in a total of 25.29 crores in India.
Rekhachithram Movie Cast And Plot Details
In the primary cast of Rekhachithram, Anaswara Rajan portrays Rekha Pathrose, and Asif Ali plays CI Vivek Gopinath. In the Malayalam film, Vincent is also portrayed by Manoj K. Jayan, while Unni Lalu portrays his younger self.
Shaheen Siddique depicts Rajendran, and Siddique plays the younger Rajan. Veteran actor Jagadish plays himself in a long cameo. Shajeer P. Basheer portrays the younger Francis, while Sai Kumar plays Francis Thadathil.
Following his suspension for gambling, Vivek (Asif), the police officer in command in the sleepy hills of Malakkappara, resumes his duties. Upon beginning his new position, he becomes embroiled in the case of Rajendran (Siddique), who committed himself after disclosing information about a crime he committed with his colleagues forty years prior on social media. A deeper investigation reveals long-kept facts as Vivek looks into the unexplained 1985 disappearance of a young girl from the Kathodu Kathoram film set.
