In a significant turn of events in the Renuka Swamy murder case, his wife, Sahana, has made a new revelation, stating that she is three months pregnant. During a recent interaction with the media, Sahana did not hold back in expressing her anger and frustration, particularly towards Darshan. She strongly criticised him and demanded justice for her late husband, Renuka Swamy. Sahana’s emotional appeal has added a new dimension to the ongoing investigation and has drawn considerable attention from the public and the authorities.
In a conversation with Deccan Herald, Sahana said, “We married a year ago and I am expecting a baby. My husband’s death in such a situation has left me shattered. How can I lead my life now?”
She went on to state, “My husband called me on June 8 afternoon. If my husband had sent derogatory messages on social media, he should have been given a warning. What was the need to kill him? Whether he is an actor (Darshan) or a star, I want justice.”
Renuka Swamy Murder Case:
Renuka Swamy was discovered dead at Sumanahalli Bridge in Bengaluru on June 8, 2024. He was reportedly employed at an Apollo Pharmacy branch in Chitradurga. He had been sending obscene messages, photos, and videos to Pavithra Gowda on social media. A fan of Darshan was aware of the situation. Subsequently, a group reportedly assembled, brought Renuka Swamy to Bangalore, assaulted him, and disposed of his body in a culvert.
Eight accused have implicated Darshan, alleging he was present during Renuka Swamy's assault, where a wooden log was used to fatally injure him. The body was intended for disposal in Vrishabhavathi valley but was found stuck and tampered with by dogs. Initially, a case of an unidentified body was filed on June 8.
On Tuesday, Darshan was detained at his Mysuru farmhouse on suspicion of orchestrating the murder. Later, in the day, Pavithra Gowda was detained by Bengaluru police for their suspected involvement in the murder of Renuka Swamy. Darshan and Gowda, rumoured to have had an affair for a decade despite Darshan being married, have often been seen together, stirring controversy.
