Retro Worldwide Box Office Collection: On Tuesday, the makers of Retro, a recently released Tamil movie, revealed on social media that the movie has earned 100 crores at the box office. The romantic action drama stars Suriya and Pooja Hegde in the lead role. 

Retro made its theatrical debut to a mixed reception on May 1, 2025. With this Tamil action-drama, Suriya collaborated with director Karthik Subbaraj for the first time. On Tuesday, the makers announced that Retro has collected Rs 104 crore at the box office worldwide.

Retro made Rs 49.05 crore in net revenue on day six in India. Its global collection on that day was Rs 81 crore, while its overseas collection was Rs 23.15 crore. Its total revenue in India was Rs 57.85 crore. The film's production company has, however, formally declared that it made Rs 104 crores globally.

With a 65 crore budget, the action movie has barely recovered 75 percent of its total revenue at the box office. Additionally, Jayaram, Joju George, Karunakaran, Nassar, and Prakash Raj play important parts. The Tamil movie also had a surprise cameo by actor Shriya Saran.

Suriya has produced the third-highest-grossing Tamil picture of 2025; it will take a very long time to move up to the second position. In fact, Suriya taking second place would be a startling surprise.

Retro Box Office Collection India

With only Rs 2.5 crore coming from the Tamil Nadu box office on the first Monday, Retro collections saw a sharp decline. The collections have been declining significantly every day. The Suriya led movie earned Rs 2.5 crore, Rs 1.75 crore on second Tuesday and Wednesday, respectively.
