The red carpet of MET Gala 2023 was a star-studded event with the ‘it’ celebrities from around the world putting their fashion forward. While Jared Leto, Gigi Hadid, Alia Bhatt and Priyanka Chopra stood out for their fashion choices, it was Rihanna who stood out for her late but definitely the wait at the red carpet.

The Oscar-nominated singer was one of the last ones to arrive at the MET Gala 2023. Rihanna donned a long skirt and an enormous floral hood, all in white, with sunglasses and gloves from Valentino's collection. The singer’s baby bump was on display as she removed her notch-collar brown fur coat with another alien Valentino ensemble.

Rihanna was accompanied by her beau ASAP Rocky at the red carpet. Rocky wore a plaid skirt and sparkly jeans which he teamed up with multiple Gucci belts. The rapper paid tribute to designer Karl Lagerfeld with his white button-down shirt, black tie and blazer.

Several social media users commented on Rihanna’s look at the MET Gala 2023. One user wrote, “She was fashionably late and made a grand entrance, but looked wonderful.” “Look at ASAP Rocky looking at his girl like that’s my girl so sweet she looks amazing,” read another comment.

Alia Bhatt too made her MET Gala 2023 debut at the red carpet. The actor took to her Instagram account to reveal details about her Prabal Gurang outfit and revealed that it was made of over 1 lakh outfits.

“Met Gala — Karl Lagerfeld: A Line of Beauty I have always been fascinated by the iconic Chanel brides. Season after season, the genius of Karl Lagerfeld shone through in the most innovative and awe-inspiring couture. My look tonight was inspired from this and in particular by supermodel Claudia Schiffer’s 1992 Chanel bridal look,” the actor wrote alongside pictures from the MET Gala 2023.

Alia Bhatt added, “I wanted to do something that felt authentic (hello, pearls!) and proudly made in India. The embroidery, made with a 100,000 pearls is a labour of love by @prabalgurung. I’m so proud to wear you for my first Met. A girl can never have too many pearls… and the right accessories to complement the look which in our case translated to the bow of pearls on my hair. Oh, and it’s white, for my Choup-ED.”
