Homi Adajania is the mastermind behind the newly released series Saas, Bahu Aur Flamingo, which is currently trending on Twitter for its gripping cliff-hangers and outstanding performances. The series is a unique dystopian family drama, featuring strong and courageous women in the lead roles, and is unlike anything seen before. It is set in an alternate universe where disloyalty may lead to capital punishment.
The eight-episode series centres on the character of Savitri (played by Dimple Kapadia), the matriarch of a dystopian world who fearlessly leads her family. However, her enemies are closing in and threaten to destroy her existence. The story follows the family's struggle to unite and fight against their rivals, but their greed for power could also lead to betrayals within the family.
Apart from Dimple Kapadia, Saas, Bahu Aur Flamingo also stars Angira Dhar, Monica Dogra, Deepak Dobriyal, Radhika Madan, Isha Talwar and Naseeruddin Shah, in pivotal roles.
Social media users have now taken to Twitter to share what they think about the series. On Sunday, one user wrote, "Watched just two episodes of #SaasBahuAurFlamingo and I'm already hooked up with the performances. Brilliant screenplay and casting."
A second added, "I went from these emotional roller coaster rides while watching Saas Bahu aur Flamingo! Bhai kya kamaal action scenes kare hai Dimple Kapadia ne."
A third remarked, "On 3rd episode of #SaasBahuAurFlamingo ... #HomiAdajania pulled off an interesting saas babu spin-off. Who would have thought Saas bahu aur beti are running a drug syndicate and the key male members of the house have no clue.. Liking the action setpieces."
