Saif Ali Khan Attack Case Update: The stabbing case of Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan continues to bring new twists as the days pass. The Association of Medical Consultants Mumbai has now intervened, raising significant concerns about the insurance claim disbursement process, which appears to be turning the incident into a controversy even though it was a case of heroism for the actor and Bhajan Lal Singh Rana, the autorickshaw driver who transported the actor to the hospital.

The Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority of India (IRDAI) has received a letter from the Association of Medical Consultants Mumbai expressing concerns about the speedy clearance of claims since they involve a well-known celebrity. The IRDAI has been questioned by the body about why Saif Ali Khan received special treatment.

The letter states that the nsurance company Niva Bupa sanctioned Rs 25 lacs within a few hours to Lilavati Hospital for the treatment of Saif Ali Khan. Health insurance expert, Nikhil Jha took to his X (formerly Twitter) and shared the letter sent by the Medical Consultants Mumbai.

Nikhil Jha wrote, "The normal process is to ask for an FIR copy in medicolegal cases. The insurance company waived off this requirement and immediately approved the cashless request for Rs 25 lacs. The final bill apparently Rs 36 lacs which was also approved. The surgery and stay for 4 days does not justify the huge bill and the prompt approval (sic)."

He further mentioned, "If this was any normal person The company would have applied reasonable and customary charges and not paid the claim IRDAI should answer why Niva Bupa gave preferential treatment to a celebrity and made it hard for normal people to get a claim (sic)?"

About Saif Ali Khan Attack Case 

Saif Ali Khan was repeatedly stabbed in the early hours of Thursday while attempting to fend off a burglar. Two of the actor's six stab wounds, which are closer to his spine, are reportedly considered serious.

When the thief allegedly broke into their Bandra home at 2.15 AM, he injured their housekeeper before Saif Ali Khan stepped in to stop him. The noise in his kid Jeh's room woke the actor up.

Saif Ali Khan entered the room and saw the criminal fighting with their housekeeper. Seeing this, he stepped in and used his bare hands to save the housekeeper from the man. Regarding the matter, the Mumbai police have detained a person who is supposedly from Bangladesh and is currently conducting the inquiry.
