Saif Ali Khan Attack Case: Saif Ali Khan's health insurance claim was leaked on the microblogging site X (formerly Twitter) on Friday. The actor is still recovering at Lilavati Hospital in Mumbai following serious injuries he sustained from an intruder at his Bandra West apartment.

Early on Thursday morning, Saif Ali Khan was stabbed several times during an altercation that intensified when the attacker threatened his maid. The actor is reportedly 'out of danger' after emergency surgery at Lilavati Hospital, but he will still be closely watched, according to the doctors.

Saif Ali Khan Insurance Claim Document Leaked

According to the leaked document, Saif Ali Khan submitted a claim for medical treatment of Rs 35.95 lakh, of which the insurance company has already approved Rs 25 lakh. Sensitive information including his member ID, diagnosis, room type and expected discharge date of January 21 were all included in the letter.

The 54-year-old actor has been undergoing treatment for an 'injury in unspecified body region' since his admission on January 16, 2025, according to the information in the document. For the procedure, the family first asked for Rs 35, 98,700.

According to Niva Bupa Health Insurance company, the first approved sum for cashless treatment is Rs 25 lakh. Following receipt of the final bills, any outstanding balance will be paid in line with the terms and conditions of the policy.

The actor's insurance document was reshared by several X users. Many even stated that his claim was accepted in a matter of hours because of his celebrity status.

The incident was described as a 'robbery attempt' by a member of the Mumbai Police squad investigating the attack on Saif Ali Khan. The offender entered Saif Ali Khan's home using a fire escape stairs on the evening of January 15–16.

Khan's public relations staff reported that the attacker attacked him at approximately 2.30 in the morning. The surgery was performed to fix the leaking spinal fluid and remove the knife.
