Saif Ali Khan Attack Case Update: Mumbai Police reported that a guy from Thane, who is believed to be the primary suspect, was taken into custody early on Sunday for allegedly stabbing actor Saif Ali Khan at his Bandra residence on Thursday. Since then, interesting details about the aforementioned accused have surfaced.

The accused used several identities, including Vijay Das, Bijoy Das and Mohammed Iliyas, according to Mumbai Police. They also verified that he had been a pub employee before.

The attacker, identified as Shafiqul Islam was apprehended from the Labour Camp neighbourhood next to the Hiranandani Estate in Thane's Kasarvadavali, which is approximately 35 kilometres from the actor's Bandra home where the crime was committed.

Only the official statements of Saif Ali Khan's wife, actress Kareena Kapoor and their maid, Eliyamma Philips, provided additional information about the accused.

The accused, with a scarf over his face, was seen climbing the stairs on the building's CCTV footage. He was leaving the building through the same path, but this time his face was uncovered.

Later, CCTV footage showed the accused getting on a local train at the Bandra station, which is close by. He then appeared to be purchasing earbuds close to Dadar station. Mumbai Police say the accused would be brought before the court today for remand.

Saif Ali Khan is currently in the hospital after being stabbed several times in the early hours of Thursday. The incident happened inside his apartment on the 12th floor of the 'Satguru Sharan' building in Mumbai's affluent Bandra West neighbourhood.

Saif Ali Khan was stabbed after an intruder allegedly accosted the actor's maid. The actor was attacked while trying to step in, which resulted in a violent altercation.
