Saif Ali Khan Stabbing Case: Mumbai Police have taken the blood sample of Saif Ali Khan for testing and investigation. His clothes which he was wearing on January 16 have been also collected by the police. The attacker’s clothes, which he was wearing on the day of the crime have been seized. The accused had blood spots on his clothes which will be matched with the actor’s blood. The samples of both the victim and the accused have been taken to Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL). The attacker has been identified as Mohammad Shariful Islam Shehzad, a Bangladesh national who has been staying in the country for the past 5 months. 

On January 24, Saif Ali Khan recorded his statement with Mumbai Police. As per a report by India TV, Saif stated that he and Kareena were near the bedroom on the 11th floor when they heard a noise. They heard their nurse screaming after which they rushed to son Jeh’s room. They saw an unknown person present in the room and saw Jeh crying. The actor shared that he almost managed to stop the person when the intruder tried to attack him with a knife. After this, he lost his grip on the man. Somehow, Saif managed to free himself from the attacker’s grip and pushed him to the room. Then other workers in the house took Jeh out of the room and locked the man inside. Saif further mentioned that the intruder also attacked the nurse. After he arrived at his home from the hospital, the nurse told him that the attacker demanded Rs 1 crore. 

The incident occurred in the wee hours of January 16 at Saif’s Bandra residence. After the attack, the actor was rushed to Lilavati Hospital where he underwent treatment. As per reports, he had two surgeries. The investigation on this matter has been handled by Mumbai Police. The attacker is currently in police custody.
