Music composer GV Prakash Kumar and his wife, singer Saindhavi, parted ways after 11 years of marriage. While they have chosen not to divulge the reasons behind their decision, Saindhavi took to Twitter to address false narratives circulating on YouTube about their separation. Recently, the couple, in a joint statement, cited irreconcilable differences to end their marriage. Using their social media platforms, Kumar and Saindhavi shared the news with their followers and urged for privacy during this difficult time. Following the announcement, various comments surfaced online, criticising GV Prakash's character and holding him responsible for the separation.
Expressing disappointment over the narrative and trolling she emphasised that their divorce was not influenced by external factors, and baseless character attacks are unacceptable. Saindhavi clarified that the decision was mutual and made for their own well-being.

GV Prakash Kumar's Statement
Earlier, GV Prakash Kumar too faced significant trolling, with some questioning his character. In statement, he wrote, "It's disheartening to see people debating about the union or separation of two people without proper understanding. It is unacceptable to pass comments on personal lives of people just because they're celebrities. Have Tamil people's honour come down so much that they do not realise how their comments might hurt people?"
"The reason behind our separation has been conveyed to our family members and friends. We took this decision after careful consideration. I'm writing this to convey that your comments, whatever the intentions may be, are hurting. Please respect the emotions of everyone. My thanks to everyone for their support," he added.

Director and actor's post read, "After much reflection, Saindhavi and I have decided to part ways after 11 years of marriage, for the sake of our mental peace and betterment while preserving our mutual respect for each other. We kindly ask the media, friends and fans to understand and respect our privacy during this deeply personal transition. Acknowledging that we are growing apart, we believe this is the best decision for each other. Your understanding and support means a lot during this difficult time."

Kumar and Saindhavi's romance flourished during their school days, forging a deep connection between them. Nearly a decade of companionship culminated in their extravagant wedding ceremony in 2013. The birth of their daughter, Avni, in April 2020, added even more happiness to their lives.
