The much-awaited reunion of Salman Khan and Shah Rukh Khan on screen after three decades in 'Pathaan' stood out as a major highlight. However, it seems that the Tiger actor may NOT feature in YRF's upcoming spy films, 'Pathaan 2' and 'War 2.' . Additionally, SRK made an appearance in 'Tiger 3.' Now, another installment of the spy universe, 'WAR 2,' is gearing up for production.

Salman Khan missing from Pathaan 2

While it was anticipated that Tiger would make a comeback in 'Pathaan 2' alongside Hrithik Roshan's 'War 2,' social media buzz suggests that Tiger will only make appearances at significant points within the spy universe. It says Aditya Chopra aims to maintain Salman's presence in the spy universe without overexposing him. However, there has been no official confirmation on the same.

Reports further suggest that 'Pathaan 2' and 'War 2' are currently in production. It's been stated that Ayan Mukerji will be directing 'War 2,' promising a grand scale for the film. The cast includes Jr NTR as the antagonist and Kiara Advani in the lead female role. On the other hand, Shah Rukh Khan is reprising his role as 'Pathaan' in the sequel with filming expected to begin later this year.

What's more for Salman Khan?

Salman Khan is eagerly anticipating his collaboration with renowned director A.R. Murugadoss for their upcoming film scheduled for release on Eid 2025. This project emerges amidst a growing trend of collaborations between stars from the North and South industries, exemplified by Shah Rukh Khan and Atlee's 2023 blockbuster 'Jawan.' Producer Sajid Nadiadwala will be supporting this actor-director duo.

The revelation of this monumental collaboration has sparked excitement among fans and industry insiders alike, with many eagerly awaiting the cinematic marvel this trio will deliver.

He was last seen in 'Tiger 3.' The movie premiered on November 12, 2023, coinciding with Diwali. It received a mixed bag of reviews from critics, who praised its action sequences, music, and the performances of Katrina Kaif and Emraan Hashmi, while expressing reservations about its plot and pacing. The film amassed a global box office collection of Rs 466.63 crore (US$58 million), securing its position as the fifth highest-grossing Hindi film and the eighth highest-grossing Indian film of 2023.
