Sam Bahadur Box Office Collection Day 6: Meghna Gulzar directorial, starring Vicky Kaushal is facing a tough competition from 'Animal'. While Vicky's performance in the film has received praise, it is struggling to deeply connect with audiences. Despite a boost in collections over the weekend, by December 6, 'Sam Bahadur' accumulated Rs 3.20 crore, maintaining its earnings without a significant increase.
Sam Bahadur Box Office Report
'Sam Bahadur' is holding its ground at the ticket windows, opening with Rs 6.25 crore on December 1 and seeing an increase in earnings over the weekend, reaching Rs 9 crore on Saturday and Rs 10.3 crore on Sunday. The growth over the weekend might indicate positive word-of-mouth or audience interest in the film. After raking Rs 3.50 crore on Monday and Tuesday, the historical drama experienced a further decrease, earning Rs 3.30 crore on Wednesday, according to reports from sacnilk. This drop in numbers could suggest a fading interest or perhaps stronger competition impacting its weekday performance.
With this, the film has accumulated a total collection of Rs 35.85 crore so far. On the other hand, Ranbir Kapoor's 'Animal' has crossed a staggering Rs 312 crore at the domestic box office and has surpassed Rs 500 crore in global earnings. The comparison between the two films' box office performances is stark, with Sandeep Reddy Vanga directorial demonstrating a significantly stronger financial success both domestically and internationally compared to Sam Bahadur.
About Sam Bahadur
The film delves into the life of Sam Manekshaw, India's first Field Marshal. Sam Bahadur features Vicky portraying Field Marshal Sam Manekshaw, highlighting his pivotal role during the 1971 India-Pakistan war, a time when he led the Indian Army, contributing significantly to the creation of Bangladesh. The film serves as a tribute to Manekshaw's remarkable career spanning over four decades and encompassing five wars.
Helmed by Meghna Gulzar, the film aims to honour his immense contributions to the Indian Army and the nation. Sanya Malhotra portrays Manekshaw's wife, Silloo, adding emotional depth to the narrative. Moreover, Fatima Sana Shaikh embodies the role of India's former Prime Minister, Indira Gandhi, lending historical context and richness to the story.
