Konda Surekha's comment on Samantha-Chaitanya's divorce
Telangana Minister Konda Surekha faced considerable criticism for her remarks linking Samantha Ruth Prabhu's divorce from Naga Chaitanya to BRS leader KT Rama Rao. Surekha claimed that KTR requested Samantha's presence in exchange for not demolishing Nagarjuna Akkineni’s N-Convention Centre. She further alleged that Samantha's refusal led to her eventual separation from Naga Chaitanya.
According to Surekha, Nagarjuna pressured Samantha to acquiesce, but her decision to decline was a factor in the couple's divorce, as reported by Deccan Herald. "KTR asked to send Samantha in return for not demolishing the N-convention centre. Nagarjuna forced Samantha to go to KTR, but she said no. That led to divorce."
Samantha’s Alleged Rs 250 Crore Alimony
Samantha and Naga Chaitanya surprised fans with their separation announcement in 2021, just days shy of their fourth wedding anniversary. While the news of their split was heartbreaking for many, the ensuing rumours captured even more attention. Reports circulated claiming that Samantha had demanded an alimony payment of Rs 250 crore following the divorce. These speculations gained momentum, dominating headlines for months.
However, during her appearance on Koffee With Karan 7, Samantha addressed the baseless rumours directly. When Karan Johar inquired about the most outrageous thing she had heard about herself, she humorously responded, saying it was the claim that she received Rs 250 crore in alimony. She further added, "First they made up the story about the alimony, Rs 250 crores. Then they realised that this doesn’t seem like a believable story. So they switched it to Rs 25 crores. The truth is, I didn’t take a penny from anyone."

Money For Myositis Treatment
In 2023, Samantha was diagnosed with an autoimmune condition known as myositis. Despite facing personal challenges, she bravely decided to take an extended break from acting to focus on her treatment. Unfortunately, her health became the center of controversy when rumours surfaced claiming she received Rs 25 crore from a Telugu star for her medical expenses. Responding to the same, Samantha labelled them as false. "25 crores to treat myositis!? Someone got you a pretty bad deal. I’m glad I’m only spending a fraction of that. And no, I don’t think I was paid in marbles for all the work I’ve done," the actress said.

Naga Chaitanya-Sobhita and Samantha
Following her divorce from Naga Chaitanya, speculation emerged regarding his supposed relationship with Sobhita Dhulipala. Fans began to blame Samantha for attempting to damage actor's reputation. In response, she expressed her frustration, stating that rumours about a girl are accepted as true, while rumours about a boy are dismissed as fabrications by the girl. She wrote, "Rumours on girl – Must be true! Rumours on boy – Planted by girl! Grow up guys… Parties involved have clearly moved on. You should move on too!!"
Samantha Vs Chitti Babu
After the release of Shaakuntalam, producer Chitti Babu expressed critical views about Samantha's career, suggesting that it had come to an end. He stated that she was attempting to seek sympathy by discussing her health challenges, adding that she should accept smaller roles moving forward. He commented that relying on sympathy wouldn’t be effective indefinitely.
Later, Samantha responded with a cryptic Instagram post featuring a Google search result connecting ear hair growth to higher testosterone levels. She captioned it with “#IYKWIM” (If You Know What I Mean).
