Comedian Samay Raina has found himself at the center of a brewing controversy, sparked by a contentious remark made by YouTuber Ranveer Allahabadia on his show, India's Got Latent. The remark in question, which has been deemed highly insensitive, has led to both Samay and Ranveer facing serious legal repercussions. Amidst the turmoil, Samay Raina has opted to respond to the situation in a characteristically understated manner.
In a recent post exclusive to his YouTube channel's private subscribers, Samay conveyed a powerful message of love and tranquility, using just two simple emojis: a red heart and a hug. This response, which can be interpreted as a call to spread love and remain calm in the face of adversity, has resonated deeply with his audience, garnering thousands of likes online.
India’s Got Latent was officially launched on June 14, 2024, by Samay Raina on his popular YouTube channel. The show, which had garnered significant attention and interest from audiences, had all its episodes available for viewing on the platform. However, in an unexpected turn of events, the entire show, including all its episodes, was removed from YouTube on February 12, 2025.
Ranveer Allahbadia, aka BeerBiceps, sparked outrage with a shocking question on India's Got Latent. He asked a contestant to choose between watching their parents have sex daily or joining in once to stop it. The query was deemed vulgar, leading to widespread condemnation and the video's removal from YouTube after government intervention.
Samay reacted to it and wrote on X, “Everything that is happening has been too much for me to handle. I have removed all Indias Got Latent videos from my channel. My only objective was to make people laugh and have a good time. I will fully cooperate with all agencies to ensure their inquiries are concluded fairly. Thank you.”
