Comedian Samay Raina has been issued summons by the Maharashtra Cyber Cell, requiring him to appear for further case proceedings related to the highly publicised 'India's Got Latent' controversy. The cyber cell has specifically requested that Samay Raina present himself on either March 27 or March 28 for questioning regarding the contentious statements made by podcaster Ranveer Allahbadia on the show.

Notably, the Maharashtra Cyber Cell had previously recorded Samay Raina's statement on Monday, but due to the ongoing investigation, he has been called upon again for additional questioning, according to a report in News18..

Samay Raina had expressed his regret on what went wrong on the show. In his official statement to the authorities, he said, “I will be careful next time such a thing does not happen again. My mental state is not well due to this whole case. My Canada tour also did not go well. I am sorry for what I said, I know what I said is wrong.”

A controversy has been swirling around Samay Raina and Ranveer Allahbadia after a provocative comment the latter made on comedian Samay Raina's show, India's Got Latent, sparked widespread outrage on social media. The furore erupted when a video clip from the show went viral, in which Allahbadia posed a deeply disturbing and insensitive question to his audience. He asked, "Would you rather watch your parents having sex or join them once and end it forever?" This remark was met with intense backlash from the public, who deemed it to be in poor taste and utterly unacceptable.

The fallout from Allahbadia's comments has been severe, with multiple police complaints being filed against him and other individuals associated with the show in both Mumbai and Guwahati. The Mumbai police and the cyber cell have launched separate investigations into the matter, probing the circumstances surrounding Allahbadia's remarks on Samay Raina's YouTube show.

As the investigations continue, the controversy shows no signs of abating, with many calling for greater accountability and sensitivity in public discourse.
