Pakistani actress Mawra Hocane, who gained recognition among Indian audiences with her Bollywood film Sanam Teri Kasam alongside Harshvardan Rane, is set to make her musical debut with singer-composer Akhil Sachdeva. Known for hit tracks such as Tera Ban Jaunga, Hamsafar, and Channa Ve and many others. Sachdeva is teaming up with Hocane for a special music video titled Tu Chaand Hai.

Mawra Hocane shared this exciting news about her new venture on Instagram along with the song poster. She wrote, "Tu Chaand Hai – a special one from us to you so excited to share this beautiful melody with you all, sung by the most talented Akhil Sachdeva. I can’t wait for you to hear it." The Sanam Teri Kasam actress also announced the song's release date, stating, "Releasing 4th April, exclusively on @novicerecordsofficial." This announcement sparked excitement among Mawra's fans. One fan commented, "Sooooooooper excited," while another posted, "Can't wait for this song." Another comment read, "Omg can’t wait for thissss!!! Finalllyyyyyy!!!" Akhil Sachdeva has provided the vocals for Tu Chaand Hai, which has been composed by Anmol Daniel, with lyrics penned by Noor.

Meanwhile, Mawra Hocane’s first Bollywood movie, Sanam Teri Kasam, was re-released in theatres on February 7, 2025, and received an overwhelming response, surpassing the original release in terms of box office performance. The romantic drama was released in 2016, didn't make to theexpections but the performance of lead cast left a lasting impression. The Pakistani actress expressed her gratitude on social media for the positive reception of her film and appreciation for her performance. Amid this, speculation about her involvement in a sequel to Sanam Teri Kasam emerged online. She addressed these rumors, revealing that the producer had approached her for the second part. However, she expressed uncertainty about her involvement and wished the team success.
