On Monday, B-town diva Sara Ali Khan headed to her Instagram handle and posted a series of pictures from her upcoming movie, Ae Watan Mere Watan. In the movie, she will be playing the role of a freedom fighter. Alomg with the pictures, the Gaslight actor also penned a heartfelt message in the caption.
As Sara will be essaying the role of Usha Mehta, the first picture featured her in a white saree, while in the second picture she could be seen holding a clapperboard. She could also be seen displaying the film’s title, scene number, and take. The third picture had her posing for a picture with the movie's director Kannan Iyer.

Fans soon chimed into the comments section and dropped several reactions. An Instagram user commented, "Loved this look of yours can't wait to see you in this role bohot saaaaaraaaaa love @saraalikhan95 you are very hardworking and have been seeing you doing it all alone more power to you," another one wrote, "Always observe as an artist , live n feel the character n do justice with it you have improved a lot keep shining," a user also commented, "U are just looking like Nargis Dutt so beautiful," and others dropped hearts.
Ae Watan Mere Watan is a film that explores the concepts of bravery, sacrifice, and patriotism in the context of the 1942–1945 Quit India campaign. The filmmaker, Kannan Iyer, expressed his profound gratitude for the chance to helm a movie based on true events in a press statement. Prime Video will provide the movie for viewing.
