Sarfira Box Office Collection Day 5: Akshay Kumar's latest film, featuring Radhika Madan, Suriya, and Paresh Rawal, is maintaining a steady pace at the ticket windows. A remake of the acclaimed Tamil film Soorarai Pottru, it tells the story of a common man aspiring to start his own airline. Despite its promising premise, Sarfira has received mixed responses and had minimal pre-release hype, impacting its box office performance. Nevertheless, the film has managed to maintain its pace on Day 5.

Sarfira Box Office Report:

Sarfira performed modestly at the box office during its first four days, earning an estimated Rs 13.45 crore net in India. On its fifth day, the film earned around Rs 1.75 crore net, bringing the total to Rs 15.20 crore, according to Sacnilk. On Tuesday, July 16, 2024, Sarfira had an overall Hindi occupancy of 13.61%, with morning shows at 7.03%, afternoon shows at 12.34%, evening shows at 12.87%, and night shows at 22.18%. Occupancy in Mumbai was 15.50%, while the National Capital Region (NCR) saw 14.00%.

In Sarfira, Akshay Kumar stars as Captain Gopinath / Veerendra Veer Mhatre, a former pilot turned businessman with a visionary dream. Paresh Rawal plays Paresh Goswami, while Radhika Madan portrays Rani, Veer's supportive wife. Seema Biswas adds emotional depth as Veer's mother, and R. Sarathkumar plays Nedumaran, Veer's commanding officer in the Air Force, bringing authority and mentorship to the narrative. Produced with a budget of Rs 100 crores, including costs for prints and advertising, Sarfira is released on approximately 2,500 screens across India.

Sarfira Plot:

The movie centers on Vir Jagannath Mhatre (played by Akshay Kumar), a middle-class man from a small village in Maharashtra, who aspires to establish a budget airline to dismantle economic and social barriers. In contrast to his father, a teacher he criticizes for his passive approach, Vir advocates for proactive and assertive actions to drive change and confront oppression.
