New Delhi | Jagran Entertainment Desk: John Abraham, who is famous for his role as a police officer, on Tuesday released the first poster of his upcoming starrer Saytamev Jayate 2. In the poster, the Batla House actor can be seen tearing off his uniform to showcase tricolour on his chest. Sharing the poster on Twitter, the actor wrote, "The truth prevails AGAIN!! Returning next Gandhi Jayanti, October 2nd 2020."

As the poster suggests, Satyamev Jayate 2 is based on patriotism. It reads Tann, Mann, Dhann se badhkar Jann, Gann. Mann. The film is a sequel of Satyamev Jayate and John will be seen portraying the role of a policeman.

The actor had recently announced that the new movie will be released on Gandhi Jayanti next year. The film that invokes the emotion of nationalism and patriotism also marks the comeback of director-cum-actress Divya Khosla Kumar. The actress was last seen in Bulbul (2017).

Milap Milan Zaveri directorial also includes Manoj Bajpaee and Amyra Dastur in pivotal roles. The shooting has begun recently. Milap had shared the news on Twitter a few days ago. "It all started 2 years back with a phone call to @minnakshidas in the hope that she would give me an appointment to narrate #SatyamevaJayate to @TheJohnAbraham and here we are today starting Part 2! #SatyamevaJayate2 Love you both!" he wrote on Twitter.

Meanwhile, Sanjay Dutt and Ajay Devgn have confirmed that their upcoming film 'Bhuj: The Pride of India' is scheduled for release on Independence Day next year.
