Selena Gomez has recently added her voice to the list of celebrities speaking out about the ongoing Israel-Palestine conflict. Despite her absence from social media for an extended period, she returned to Instagram to express her heartfelt sentiments. In her post, Selena strongly denounced the violence, particularly when it affects innocent civilians, especially children, but her post has not been approved by a section of audience who believes that Selens has made the whole ‘genocide about herself’.

Selena Gomez Opens Up On Israel-Hamas War

The 'Who Says' hitmaker’s statement read, “I’ve been taking a break from social media because my heart breaks to see all of the horror, hate, violence, and terror that’s going on in the world. People being tortured and killed or any act of hate towards any one group is horrific. We need to protect ALL people, especially children and stop violence for good. I’m sorry if my words will never be enough for everyone or a hashtag. I just can’t stand by innocent people getting hurt. That’s what makes me sick. I wish I could change the world. But a post won’t (sic).”

Current Status On Israel-Palestine War

On Monday, October 30, Israeli soldiers and tanks launched an attack on Gaza's primary northern city from two directions. This occurred three days following the commencement of a significant ground operation in the Palestinian region. This military action has prompted increased international pleas to safeguard the safety of civilians.

According to Israel's military, they have targeted over 600 militant sites in the past few days as they widen their ground activities in the Gaza Strip. This prolonged conflict, which is now in its fourth week, has left Palestinian civilians facing severe shortages of essential supplies like fuel, food, and clean water.
