Shah Rukh Khan's dedication to his role in the 2002 film Devdas is a testament to his commitment to his craft. In a recent revelation by his co-star Tiku Talsania, it was disclosed that Shah Rukh would actually consume alcohol during the filming of certain scenes to ensure authenticity in his portrayal of the alcoholic character.
Tiku Talsania, who played Dharamdas in the film, shared an anecdote from the set, recalling a scene shot in the scorching sun where Shah Rukh was seen consuming shots of rum. When questioned about his actions, Shah Rukh replied, "Acting will happen. But the inebriation won’t reflect in my eyes. What about that?"
Tiku praised Shah Rukh's dedication, stating that for a character like Devdas, the intoxication should be visible in the eyes. He described Shah Rukh as a genius who puts a lot of effort into his character, noting how the actor would arrive on set with his own shot plan, despite Sanjay Leela Bhansali being the director.
