Santokh Singh Sukh, the father of Bigg Boss 13 sensation Shehnaaz Gill, is embroiled in controversy as the Punjab Police accuses him of misusing security cover. However, Mr. Sukh vehemently denies these allegations, labelling them as baseless and unfounded. The accusations follow Santokh's public criticism of the police for their perceived inaction regarding threats against him.

Punjab Police Accusations

Surinderpal Singh, the deputy superintendent of police in Baba Bakala, accused Sukh of misusing the security provided to him after he shared a video where an unidentified caller allegedly threatened him. Singh stated, "The video is two months old. Action will be taken against the accused. However, he (Sukh) is misusing the security cover given to him as he runs an organization. He was instructed not to misuse the security cover, but he disregarded the directive." Singh further claimed that Sukh has faced legal action in at least six instances.

Sukh's Response

Sukh dismissed the accusations as baseless, questioning the timing of the police's statement and suggesting it was a retaliatory move for making the video public. He criticized the police for their alleged inaction regarding the threat, stating, "Why are the police making such accusations after two months? They are only making the accusations as I made the video public. The cops have not taken any action so far. Police are levelling such baseless allegations to hide their inaction."

He also questioned the police's stance on the authenticity of the threat, asking, "The police are also claiming that the phone call in the video is fake. On one hand, the police are saying that they are investigating the case, and on the other, they are passing a verdict. If this is a fake threat, why have they not registered an FIR against me?"

Santokh Singh Sukh gained public attention in 2021 when he survived a shooting in Amritsar. Assailants on a bike fired at him around 8:30 pm, sparking widespread attention.

Shehnaaz Gill is currently working on her upcoming project, 'Sab First Class', alongside Varun Sharma. Directed by Balwinder Singh Janjua, the film promises to be a wholesome family entertainer. Shehnaaz announced the film officially on January 20, 2024, through an Instagram post. The situation surrounding Santokh Singh Sukh and the Punjab Police is ongoing, with both parties maintaining their positions.
