Aishwarya Rai Bachchan dazzled at the South Indian International Movie Awards (SIIMA) 2024 in Dubai, where she won the Best Actress (Critics) award for her compelling performance in Ponniyin Selvan: II. The highlight of the evening was not just the prestigious accolade but also the heartwarming sight of Aishwarya’s daughter, Aaradhya, who turned photographer for her mother.

Accompanied by Aaradhya, the mother-daughter duo made a striking appearance in matching black outfits on the red carpet. A particularly touching moment captured Aaradhya using her phone to take pictures of her mother as she celebrated her win. This candid gesture quickly went viral, with fans and social media users expressing their admiration for the young girl's support and infectious smile.

Several fan pages shared images of Aaradhya and Aishwarya, praising their bond. One fan page posted, "The Proud Daughter's love—#Aaradhya's smile here is beautiful and infectious," highlighting the genuine affection shared between mother and daughter.

Rumours regarding Aishwarya and Abhishek Bachchan’s relationship have circulated recently, fueled by their separate appearances at events and social media activity. Despite the speculation, neither Aishwarya nor Abhishek has confirmed or denied these rumours. The couple, married since April 2007 and parents to Aaradhya, continue to maintain a private stance on their personal life.

At SIIMA 2024, Aishwarya’s win for Ponniyin Selvan: II was a testament to her impressive role as Nandini. The film, directed by Mani Ratnam, is based on Kalki Krishnamoorthy’s renowned Tamil novel and also stars Vikram, Trisha, Karthi, and other prominent actors.

In her acceptance speech, Aishwarya expressed her gratitude, stating, “Thank you so very much SIIMA for honouring me with this award. It means the world to me because this was a movie so close to my heart. Honouring my work as Nandini in Ponniyin Selvan is actually celebrating the work of the entire team.”
