Khakee: The Bengal Chapter is one of the most anticipated web series of 2025, which has been created by Neeraj Pandey. It is the second season of the successful 2022 Netflix show Khakee: The Bihar Chapter. As the title suggests, the show will focus on how the police authorities get into a mission to remove crime in West Bengal. The series will feature popular stars from the Bengali film industry including Jeet, Prasenjit Chatterjee, Parambrata Chattopadhyay, Saswata Chatterjee and Sandeep Chatterjee. But there is a twist in the cast, a renowned Indian cricketer is reportedly set to star in the series. 

As the trailer has dropped, viewers are quite excited to watch the show soon on OTT. But the excitement level went up, when the creator of the series, Neeraj Pandey, gave a playful hint of Sourav Ganguly’s involvement. When asked about rumours of Sourav Ganguly’s cameo, Neeraj Pandey at the trailer launch event, said “As far as Sourav is concerned… keep looking.” But he did not give any concrete details about the cameo but has definitely fueled the rumours.

While talking about his personal connection with Kolkata, Neeraj added “I was born and brought up in Kolkata. This played an important role in me choosing Kolkata for the second chapter in the series… there was a personal bias.” 

About Khakee: The Bengal Chapter

The series is set against the backdrop of Kolkata in the early 2000s. An honest IPS officer fighting the crime and corrupt political systems of the city. The show also features Ritwik Bhowmik, Shraddha Das, Aakanksha Singh and Trishaan in key roles. The show is set to stream on Netflix from March 20.

The OTT platform shared the trailer on its social media handles and wrote, “Police, gangsters, aur sarkaar- iss chakravyuh mein kaun hai sabse shaatir? Watch Khakee: The Bengal Chapter, out 20 March, only on Netflix!”
