South OTT Releases This Week (Sep 9 To 15):  Some of the most anticipated movies and web series will be streaming on digital platforms this week. Few of these dramas were delayed for a longer period of time. The wait is worth it for movie watchers as some of the popular and anticipated films and web series will be at your fingertips very soon. From Asif Ali and Biju Menon’s upcoming Malayalam movie Thalavan to Shaam’s Tamil web series Goli Soda Rising will be released this week on OTT platforms like Netflix, Prime Video, Disney Plus Hotstar, Zee5, SonyLIV, JioCinema and others. 

Thalavan (SonyLIV)

The movie revolves around a Dysp who recalls events of his professional life on a Television program. He will be revealing the details of the Chepanamthota case which was a milestone achievement in his career. The film stars Biju Menon, Asif Ali, Miya George, Anusree, Dileesh Pothan, Shankar Ramakrishnan, Ranjith and Kottayam Nazeer in key roles. It was released in theatres on 24th May 2024. 

Thalavan OTT Release Date: September 10; Language: Malayalam

Committee Kurrollu (ETV Win)

The story is set against the backdrop of West Godavari village, where the harmony of a group of friends has been disrupted after an unexpected fallout amongst themselves. It impacted their lives and the tranquillity of their community. The movie features Prasad Behra, Ramana Bhargav, Kota Jayaram, Shyam Kalyan, Sai Kumar and Kittayya in pivotal roles.

Committee Kurrollu OTT Release Date: September 12; Language: Telugu

Mr Bachchan (Netflix)

The story revolves around a powerful and honest Income Tax Officer who is known for his expertise in uncovering black money. But his life turned upside down after a powerful MP tried to take revenge from him. The movie stars Bhagyashri Borse, Ravi Teja, Abhimanyu Singh and Sachin Khedekar in prominent roles. It was released in theatres on August 15.

Nunakuzhi (Zee5)

The movie focuses on the life of a young rich man, who has been caught in a web of lies and mistaken identities. Now, he has to get out of interconnected events. The movie stars Basil Joseph, Grace Antony, Nikhila Vimal, Swasika, Baiju Santhosh, Saiju Kurup and Aju Varghese in significant roles.

Bench Life (SonyLIV)

The Web series revolves around the cooperate employee’s lives, who work around the clock to achieve something in life. The show delves into a selected number of employees who are trying hard to get through the difficult corporate life. It features Rajendra Prasad, Vaibhav, Charan Peri, Ritika Singh, Aakanksha Singh, Nayan Sarika, Venkatesh Kakumanu and Tanikella Bharani in key roles. 

Bench Life Release Date: September 12; Language: Telugu

Goli Soda Rising (Disney Plus Hotstar)

The web series will start from where the movie franchise of the same name has ended. It will focus on the lives of Aachi Mess boys. The show features Shaam, Abirami, Pugazh, Ramya Nambeesan, Avanthika Mishra, Cheran, R K Vijay Murugan, Bharath Sreeni, Kishore, Pandi, Udhaya Raj, Murugesh and Kutty Mani in pivotal roles. It will be streaming in seven languages including Tamil, Hindi, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam, Bengali and Marathi.

Goli Soda Rising Release Date: September 13; Language: Tamil
