STR 48: Kamal Haasan Teams Up With Silambarsam; Latter Releases Motion Poster

It's happening! South superstar Kamal Haasan will be bankrolling actor Silambarsam's 48th movie. The movie is temporarily titled STR 48 and it marks Kamal Haasan's 56th film as a producer. The movie will be directed by Desingh Periyasamy.

Announcing the same on Twitter, Silambarsan tweeted, "Dreams do come true." He also shared the motion poster of STR 48. The motion poster shared by him saw a sword which represented T from STR.

Kamal Haasan also shared the announcement via his Twitter handle and wrote, "Cinema connects generations; Reduces gaps. Cheers to youth and talent!"

Kamal Haasan is currently busy shooting for Indian 2, which will seemingly release this year. In addition to Kamal Haasan, Kajal Aggarwal, Gulshan Grover, Nedumudi Venu, Siddharth, Rakul Preet Singh, Priya Bhavani Shankar, Samuthirakani, Bobby Simha, Guru Somasundaram, Delhi Ganesh, Jayaprakash, and Vennela Kishore, the film also stars Samuthirakani, Bobby Simha, Guru Somasundaram, and Guru.

Directed by S Shankar, Anirudh Ravichander created the soundtrack, while Ravi Varman, Rathnavelu, and A. Sreekar Prasad handled the cinematography and editing, respectively.

It is pertinent to note that Haasan will also be returning as Vikram in Lokesh Kanagaraj’s film Vikram 2. The first part became the actor's highest-grossing film ever and the fourth-highest-grossing Tamil film of all time.
