Stree 2 Box Office Collection Day 2: The film made a remarkable debut at the box office, featuring an ensemble cast of Shraddha Kapoor, Rajkummar Rao, Aparshakti Khurana, Abhishek Banerjee, and Pankaj Tripathi. On its opening day, the film achieved an impressive net collection of ₹60.3 crore in India. This success is particularly striking given the strong competition from other releases like Akshay Kumar and Taapsee Pannu’s Khel Khel Mein and John Abraham’s Vedaa. Despite the competitive landscape, Stree 2 has managed to stand out, driven by high anticipation and favourable word of mouth.

Stree 2 Box Office Report:

The film not only continues the legacy of its 2018 predecessor but also reinforces the star power and appeal of its talented cast. On its opening day, Stree 2 made a strong impression at the box office with an estimated net collection of ₹60.3 crore in India. The film continued its impressive performance on its second day, earning approximately ₹30 crore net.

According to Taran Adarsh, "#Stree2 is UNSTOPPABLE, hits CENTURY... After a historic start on the national holiday [#IndependenceDay], #Stree2 posts remarkable numbers on Day 2 [Fri], despite it being a regular working day.. The craze for #Stree2 is unprecedented, with multiplexes in key cities witnessing excellent occupancy, while single screens and non-national properties in Tier 2 and Tier 3 markets are exceptional.

Biz on Sat - Sun as well as Mon [partial holiday due to #RakshaBandhan] is expected to be HUMONGOUS... #Stree2 is projected to rake in ₹ 200 cr [or thereabouts] over its *4-day extended weekend* [incl previews].

The film’s overall Hindi occupancy on August 16, 2024, was 45.31%. The occupancy rates varied throughout the day, with morning shows at 22.60%, afternoon shows at 40.59%, evening shows at 49.20%, and night shows seeing a robust 68.85%. Directed by Amar Kaushik and produced by Maddock Films and Jio Studios, Stree 2 has clearly captured the audience's attention.

Stree 2 Budget

Stree 2 was reportedly created with a budget of ₹60 crore, which encompasses both production and promotional costs. This is double the budget of its 2018 predecessor, Stree, which had a budget of ₹30 crore. The film is set to debut on around 3,000 screens throughout India.

About Stree 2

Directed by Amar Kaushik, Stree 2 brings back Rajkummar Rao and Shraddha Kapoor in their original roles. The film also includes several unexpected cameos, including Varun Dhawan as Bhediya, who performs a special song alongside Shraddha Kapoor.

Stree 2 picks up where the original left off, now facing a new terror in the town of Chanderi. This time, the residents are haunted by a headless entity known as Sarkata, who is abducting women. As the town plunges back into fear, the characters Bicky, Janna, Bittu, and Rudra unite to confront this ominous threat. The film introduces Sarkata as a headless menace targeting modern women and takes a personal turn when Bittu, played by Aparshakti Khurana, discovers that his girlfriend, Chitti, is among those taken.

Pankaj Tripathi's character, Rudra, receives a letter with missing pages from the Chanderi Puraan, prompting Bicky (Rajkummar Rao), Bittu, and Jana (Abhishek Banerjee) to embark on a mission to defeat Sarkata. They are joined by Shraddha Kapoor’s character, who remains unnamed in this sequel.
