Stree 2, one of the most eagerly anticipated horror-comedy films, is already making waves with its captivating storyline and engaging plot. Directed by Amar Kaushik and produced by Jio Studios and Dinesh Vijan, the sequel to the blockbuster hit Stree has fans excited as it hit theatres on August 15, 2024.
The entire cast, including Rajkummar Rao, Shraddha Kapoor, Pankaj Tripathi, Abhishek Banerjee and Aparshakti Khurana, made a grand entrance in Delhi recently to promote the film. As per Bollywood Life, during a press conference, the team didn’t just discuss the movie but also shared some real-life eerie experiences that left the audience spooked.
Rajkummar Rao, who reprises his role as Vicky, mentioned that while the original Stree had its share of creepy moments during filming, the sequel has brought more fun to the forefront. He humorously added that perhaps even the ghosts enjoyed their film so much that they wouldn’t want to scare them away.
Aparshakti's Bollywood star brother Ayushmann Khurrana on Stree 2 box office success:
But the real spine-chilling moment came when Aparshakti Khurana, who plays Bittu in the movie, recounted a ghostly encounter he experienced in Delhi. Khurana shared that one late night, around 3-3:30 AM, he was returning from Gurgaon when something strange caught his eye near the GK1-GK2 flyover. Curious, he took a U-turn to investigate, but when he looked back, the mysterious figure had vanished. This unsettling experience left the audience shocked, as they realized the ghostly tales in Stree 2 may not be entirely fictional. Abhishek Banerjee, who plays Jaana, nodded in agreement, suggesting that the cast had more than a few supernatural stories to tell.
Stree 2 has been receiving rave reviews from fans, who are praising its impressive visual effects and CGI. With the film now in theatres, audiences are eager to see how the blend of horror and comedy has been brought to life once again. This thrilling sequel has already captured hearts, proving that the magic of Stree lives on—and perhaps, so do the ghosts.
