Stree 2 Box Office Collection Day 5: The newest chapter in the Maddock Supernatural Universe directed by Amar Kaushik, is holding strong at the box office. On its first Monday, the film saw a minor drop but still managed to crossed Rs 200 crore net in India, according to Sacnilk.com. Titled Stree 2: Sarkate Ka Aatank, the film written by Niren Bhatt is a sequel to Stree (2018), featuring a cast that includes Rajkummar Rao, Shraddha Kapoor, Pankaj Tripathi, Abhishek Banerjee, and Aparshakti Khurana.

Stree 2 Box Office Report

Shraddha Kapoor starrer earned ₹8.5 crore from its premieres a day before its official release. On its opening day in India, the film made an impressive ₹51.8 crore net, followed by ₹31.4 crore on its first Friday, marking a 39.38% drop. The film rebounded with a 39.65% increase on Saturday, earning ₹43.98 crore, and saw a further 27.48% rise on Sunday with ₹55.9 crore. On Monday, it is estimated to have collected ₹37 crore, bringing the total five-day earnings to approximately ₹228.45 crore net.

On Monday, August 19, 2024, the film achieved an overall Hindi occupancy of 49.48%, with specific show timings at Morning 26.89%, Afternoon 42.74%, Evening 63.32%, and Night 64.95%.

Stree 2 premiered worldwide on August 15, 2024, and has been met with positive reviews from critics. By its first Sunday, the film had grossed ₹284 crore globally, making it the fourth highest-grossing Indian film of 2024 and the second highest-grossing Hindi film of the year.

The film continues the story from the 2018 film Stree, picking up where the original left off. The plot centers on a group of friends led by Rajkummar Rao's character, Vicky, a tailor. This time, their town of Chanderi faces new terror from the villain Sarkata, and they must seek the help of Stree to overcome this threat. Akshay Kumar made a surprising cameo in Stree 2 and is expected to play significant roles in upcoming franchises. Tamannaah Bhatia and Varun Dhawan also appeared in cameo roles.
