Stree 2 Box Office Collection Day 12: Amar Kaushik’s horror-comedy Stree 2 continues its impressive run at ticket windows, crossing the Rs 400 crore milestone. Starring Rajkummar Rao, Shraddha Kapoor, Pankaj Tripathi, Aparshakti Khurana, and Abhishek Banerjee, the film has become the seventh Hindi movie to reach this prestigious achievement, reportedly joining the ranks of blockbusters like Jawan, Gadar 2, Animal, Pathaan, Baahubali 2, and KGF Chapter 2 (Hindi). The success of Stree 2 is notable given that its 2018 predecessor was also a major hit.

According to Sacnilk.com, the sequel has surpassed the original's success, accumulating over ₹400 crore net in India in under two weeks since its release. Stree 2 achieved impressive box office numbers in its first week, earning ₹291.65 crore net. During the paid premieres, it grossed ₹8.5 crore, followed by earnings of ₹51.8 crore, ₹31.4 crore, ₹43.85 crore, and ₹55.9 crore from Thursday to Sunday. From Monday to Thursday of the following week, the film garnered ₹38.1 crore, ₹25.8 crore, ₹19.5 crore, and ₹16.8 crore.
In its second week, the film continued its strong performance, with earnings of ₹17.5 crore, ₹33 crore, and ₹42.4 crore from Friday to Sunday.
The film not only recorded the highest second weekend earnings ever but also sustained strong performance into its third Monday, aided by the partial Janmashtami holiday. On Monday, August 26, 2024, the film is estimated to have earned ₹17 crore net in India, bringing its total to ₹401.55 crore net. Stree 2 had a Hindi occupancy rate of 29.02%, with morning shows at 20.34%, afternoon shows at 36.23%, evening shows at 33.06%, and night shows at 26.44%.

Produced by Maddock Films, Akshay Kumar made an unexpected cameo in Stree 2 and is anticipated to have a prominent role in future installments of the franchise. Tamannaah Bhatia and Varun Dhawan also appeared briefly in the film. In Stree 2, the village of Chanderi is plagued by a sinister force called Sarkata, leading the villagers to seek Stree’s assistance to tackle the menace.
