Sushant Singh Rajput was one of the brightest Bollywood stars during his time. His sudden demise shook the whole nation. The actor passed away on June 14, 2020, at his Mumbai residence. After a year of investigation by Mumbai police and then CBI, the update of the case has not been shared till now. The declaration of alleged suicide has not been accepted by his family and close friends. After several years of seeking justice, his sister Shweta Singh Kirti still pleads to get justice for his brother and demands closure for the case.
Remembering her brother on his 4th death anniversary, Shweta Singh Kirti shared a post on Instagram pleading for justice. She captioned, “Bhai, it has been 4 years since you left us, and we still don’t know what transpired on June 14, 2020. Your death remains a mystery. I feel helpless and have pleaded with the authorities countless times for the truth. I’m losing my patience and feel like giving up. But today, for one last time, I want to ask everyone who can help with the case to put your hand on your heart and ask yourself: don’t we deserve to know what happened to our brother Sushant? Why has it become a political agenda? Why can’t it be as straightforward as stating what was found that day and what is believed to have happened? PLEASE, I am requesting and pleading—help us move forward as a family. Give us the closure we deserve.”
Sushant’s Pavitra Rishta co-star and good friend Mahesh Shetty also wants justice for the late actor. He took to his Instagram story and wrote, “How much longer I wonder? Another year passes by... They said it gets easier and time heals it all, but the questions keep pestering, making it even more difficult. I keep waiting, keep my utmost faith alive in the law of the land but I deserve to know...We deserve to know! #JusticeforSushant.”
