Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah Fame Sonu Aka Jheel Mehta recently got engaged to her longtime boyfriend. Although she departed from the show a while ago, she's still remembered for her much-appreciated role as Sonu. Since leaving acting, Jheel has pursued a career as a makeup artist.
Jheel Mehta Is Engaged
Jheel was merely nine years old when she landed the role in the popular comedy series 'Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah.' However, in 2013, she decided to depart from the show to focus on her studies. Now, her boyfriend, Aditya, orchestrated a awwdorable proposal that left her overwhelmed with emotions. She shared a touching video on social media where she was surprised by friends and taken to a rooftop, where Aditya proposed to her. Jheel was visibly touched and teary-eyed during the heartfelt moment.
Taking to her Instagram, Jheel drooped the dreamy proposal video, which showcased her friends leading her to the rooftop where Aditya, surprises her with a proposal. He went above and beyond, charming Jheel by dancing and posing in a Shah Rukh Khan-esque style, bringing a smile to her face. Jheel captioned the video with lyrics from the song 'Koi Mil Gaya, Mera Dil Gaya' from the film Kuch Kuch Hota Hai.

The engagement proposal video received a heartwarming response from her former co-star Bhavya Gandhi, known for playing Tapu in the sitcom Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah. Bhavya showed his support by dropping a heart emoji in the comments section. Many termed her as bachpan ka crush and wrote, "Bhai sambhal ke hamari bachpan ki crush hai woh." Another added, "Congratulations, my childhood crush."
