Actor Lalit Manchanda was found dead at his home in Meerut, Uttar Pradesh, on Monday, April 21. He reportedly died by suicide, as confirmed by the authorities the cause of death. The police arrived at the scene shortly after receiving the distressing call. Upon their arrival, Manchanda’s body was found hanging inside the residence. His body was taken into custody and sent for a postmortem examination.
As per the News18 report, at present no suicide note has been found at the scene. The preliminary findings suggest that there is no evidence of foul play or any third-party involvement. Police is still examining the circumstances surrounding the death. They have started speaking to the actor's family and friends to gather more details about this tragic incident.
As per reports, the actor's family members shared that he was in depression due to a financial crisis in recent months. Further details are awaited as the investigation is under progresses.
His untimely demise has sent shock waves in the entertainment industry. On Tuesday, the Cine and TV Artistes’ Association (CINTAA) paid tribute to the late actor on their Instagram. They shared the photo of Lali along with a message that read, "CINTAA expresses its condolences on the demise of Lalit Manchanda (member since 2012)." Fans epressed their grief in the comments section.

Who was Lalit Manchanda?
Lalit Manchanda featured in several Bollywood films and TV shows in supporting roles. His work credits include shows like Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai, India's Most Wanted, Crime Petrol and Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah. The late actor was there in Mumbai for more than a decade and reportedly moved to Meerut with his brother six months ago. Even with his short role, he has created a memorable impact in the hearts of the viewers. The actor was last seen in Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah for a special appeaeance and his photo with Jethalal Gada akak Dilip Joshi has been surfacing online.
