Telugu Actor Sowmya Janu Receives Backlash For Altercation With Police Officer | Watch Viral Video

Telugu actress Sowmya Janu has landed in hot water after a video of her assaulting a traffic police officer in Hyderabad surfaced online and quickly went viral. The incident occurred on February 24 in Banjara Hills, where Sowmya was caught driving on the wrong side of the road by the officer.

In the video, Sowmya can be seen hurling abuses at the officer and physically attacking him, even tearing his clothes. Despite attempts by onlookers to calm her down, she continued her aggressive behaviour and reportedly confiscated the officer's phone.

Sowmya has been booked under Section 353 of the Indian Penal Code for assault and Section 184 of the Motor Vehicles Act for driving in the wrong direction. The incident has sparked outrage on social media, with many calling for strict action against the actress. Sowmya Janu has yet to comment on the incident, but this incident serves as a reminder of the importance of following traffic rules and respecting law enforcement authorities.
