Thalavan New OTT Release Date: The Malayalam language crime thriller is all set to make its digital debut soon. The highly anticipated movie was released in theatres on 24th May this year. It earned Rs 25 crore at the box office but garnered a lot of praise from the audience and the critics. Led by Asif Ali and Biju Menon, the cop drama revolves around an investigation which reveals the internal hierarchy within the police force. Jis Joy's directorial also stars Miya George, Anusree Nair, Bilas Chandrahasan, Dileesh Pothan and Reenu Mathews in key roles.
Thalavan New OTT Release Date
After much delay in the OTT release, the movie was set to release on Sony LIV on September 12, 2024. However, the makers preponed the release date. Now, Thalavan will be released on September 10, 2024 on Sony LIV.

About Thalavan
The story showcases the complexities of police investigations and internal hierarchies. It revolves around retired DYSP Udhayabhanu (played by Biju Menon) who recalls his experience with ‘Chepanamthota case’ during his Television interview. The movie marks the first collaboration of the actor-director duo Biju Menon and Jis Joy.
Earlier talking about his alliance with Menon, Joy told OTTPlay, “This is my first collaboration with Biju Menon, and I found him to be extremely selective with his roles. He meticulously listens to scripts and strives for perfection in every scene. Working with him has been a smooth process due to his dedication and expertise.”
In Thalavan, Biju Menon played the role of CI Jayashankar, later DYSP. Asif Ali was seen as SI Karthik Vasudevan, later CI. Miya George played as Sunitha. Sujith Shankar played the role of Joshy. Anusree was seen as Ramya. Dileesh Pothan portrayed the role of DYSP Udhayabanu. Joji John was seen as ASI Venu. Shankar Ramakrishnan was seen as SP Hemanth Ram IPS.
