Thandel Teaser Out: Naga Chaitanya's 23rd film has generated significant buzz since its announcement. Directed by Chandoo Mondeti, the movie features Sai Pallavi alongside Naga in prominent roles. This movie marks the third collaboration between the actor and director Chandoo Mondeti, following their work on the films 'Premam' (2016) and 'Savyasachi' (2018). The 'Essence of Thandel,' a teaser spanning two minutes and eleven seconds, commences with scenic visuals capturing Naga Chaitanya as a fisherman set against the backdrop of the sea. It depicts the actor and 22 others enduring challenging conditions within the confines of Karachi Central Jail in Pakistan. Amidst this, Chaitanya passionately defends his love for his nation, responding with unwavering resolve to an officer's interrogation. He emphatically states, "Your land received our generosity. if you possess such an attitude, imagine the spirit of those who offered charity."

It escalates in intensity as Naga Chaitanya fervently chants "Bharat Mata Ki Jai" within the confines of the Pakistani jail. The teaser also provides a glimpse of Sai Pallavi's character, seemingly taking a stroll along the beach, before concluding.

About Thandel

The film is reportedly based on real-life incidents concerning the fisherfolk in Srikakulam, Andhra Pradesh, from 2018. The film showcases Naga Chaitanya portraying a fisherman belonging to this community. During the filming, Chandoo Mondeti and Naga Chaitanya visited K. Matchilesam village in Srikakulam, engaging with the locals, particularly the fisherfolk, to grasp a deeper understanding of their culture, land, and way of life.

This film marks the second collaboration between Chaitanya and Sai Pallavi, following their successful 2021 release, Love Story. The movie is produced by Bunny Vas under Geetha Arts, with music composed by National Award winner Devi Sri Prasad. Shamdat handles the cinematography, while Naveen Nooli oversees the film's editing. The makers are yet to lock release date for Thandel.
