Tharunam OTT Release: A 2025 Tamil romantic thriller movie, written and directed by Arvindh Srinivasan, made its theatrical debut on January 14. The movie stars Kishen Das and Smruthi Venkat in the lead roles failed to perform well at the box office. Although, Das' performance was widely praised by fans. Tharunam OTT Release: When To Watch Tamil Movie Online

Tharunam movie's digital rights have been acquired by Tentkotta. The Tamil movie will stream on the OTT giant from April 25. Making the announcement on X, the streaming platform wrote, "Thrills, romance, and unexpected twists! #Tharunam a beautiful blend of emotions streaming exclusively from April 25th on @Tentkotta Don't miss it! #TharunamOnTentkotta."

All About Tharunam

The movie's story centres around the story of Arjun (Kishen Das), who is a CRPF officer. He is on a sabbatical after something happened during one of his missions. Then, he meets Meera, (Smruthi Venkat), a carefree woman with a modern mindset. Besides her romantic relationship with Arjun, she has a friendly bond with her neighbour, who is secretly in love with her. As Arjun and Meera plan to get engaged, unexpected circumstances change their life. Rohit is found dead in her kitchen. Then, the film unfolds the journey of Kishen Das and Smruthi Venkat's characters discovering the mystery behind the death.

This Tamil movie is written and directed by Arvindh Srinivasan and bankrolled by Pugaz and Eden under the Zhen Studios banner. The film's music score is composed by Darbuka Siva. Arul Elango Siddharth handled the editing of the film while art direction was done by Varnaalayaa Jagadeesan.

Tharunam starred Kishen Das and Smruthi Venkat in the lead roles alongside Raj Ayyappa and Bala Saravanan in key roles. The film didn't meet the expectations at the ticket windows of the box office and ended up receiving negative reviews. Some users pointed out Tharunam's shallow writing and criticised its sequences and others lauded the suspense elements in the unconventional love story.
