The Diplomat OTT release date

The Diplomat is all set to make its digital debut on May 9, 2025. The film will stream on Netflix. It is pertinent to note that the movie was rejected by several OTT platforms before its release.

About the movie: The film is based on the true story of J.P. Singh, an Indian diplomat whose life becomes entangled in a complex web of international diplomacy and personal turmoil when Uzma Ahmed, a woman seeking refuge, arrives at the embassy. 

Uzma's harrowing tale unfolds as she recounts being abducted and forcibly married to Tahir, a Pakistani man of Pathan origin, in a remote village in Buner. Her story takes a poignant turn as she reveals that she had previously met Tahir in Pakistan, believing him to be genuinely in love with her, only to find herself a victim of abuse.
