The White Lotus Season 3 concluded with its much-awaited finale on Sunday. After wrapping up the latest season of the American television show, which became the most-watched for several reasons, including its exotic resort locations, the dark truths of the hospitality industry, and the murder mystery, fans are now eagerly waiting to see what creator Mike White has in store for them. Will there be a White Lotus Season 4? Season 1 took place in Hawaii, Season 2 in Italy, and Season 3 in Thailand. Now, for Season 4, Mike has something different planned. He recently teased that the location for the fourth chapter of the show may not have the same waves crashing against its walls.

Following the end of Season 3, Mike White shared his thoughts on Season 4 of the show. He told Deadline, "For the fourth season, I want to get a little bit out of the crashing waves of rocks vernacular, but there’s always more room for more murders at the White Lotus hotels."

Earlier, Deadline quoted a source stating that the HBO drama series was considering a Four Seasons hotel in Europe. The source added, “Everything is on the table for next season,” but no decision has been made yet.

Back in January, ahead of the Season 3 premiere, HBO announced the renewal for a fourth season.

Shedding more light on the upcoming season, Francesca Orsi, HBO’s head of drama, told Deadline earlier, “I can’t really say where we’re going to land, but chances are somewhere in Europe. Some countries on the map that we talked about, but nothing to report on until they actually go location scouting.”

The White Lotus Season 3 Ending Explained

Each season of Mike White's show ends with the death of a core character. The White Lotus Season 1 concluded with the death of Armond (Murray Bartlett), and Season 2 concluded with the brutal end of the beloved character Tanya McQuoid (Jennifer Coolidge). The show’s latest season, set on the island of Koh Samui in Thailand, continued this tradition, leading to the death of main characters. The much-awaited finale revealed that the gunshots previewed in HBO's season premiere were caused by the tragic actions of Rick Hatchett (Walton Goggins). Rick’s unexpected behavior triggered a gunfight at Thailand's White Lotus Resort, resulting in five deaths, including his own and his girlfriend Chelsea's (Aimee Lou Wood).

The finale brings a heartbreaking tragedy, along with a narrowly avoided Ratliff family disaster, a rekindled friendship, a Bosch blender, and a highly satisfying USD 5 million payout for Belinda Lindsey (Natasha Rothwell), the manager of the White Lotus Maui spa. The White Lotus Season 3 finale is streaming on Max.
