Anupama Parameswaran, who turned heads as the elegant Lilly in Mallik Ram’s Tillu Square released less than a month ago, is taking a complete transformation for her next project, Paradha. In this upcoming film, she portrays a rustic character, showcasing her versatility as an actress. Samantha Ruth Prabhu and Raj & DK took to their Instagram stories to announceme the same. They dropped a video of Anupama's next project.
Named "Paradha," the film pledges to deliver a gripping drama with a focus on its female leads, boasting a remarkable ensemble including the Anupama, Darshana Rajendran, and the veteran actress Sangitha. The captivating first look poster, portraying Anupama without the 'Paradha' (veil), instantly commands attention as it depicts her in a non-glamorous role, adorned in traditional attire, emitting a powerful presence.
Providing a glimpse into the film's narrative, Raj & DK expressed their excitement, stating, "Thrilled and happy to unveil this Paradha. A journey that inspires every woman who was ever restricted, by those who love; in the name of love." On the other hand, Anupama too shared the video, stating, "When I said, I’d come to you with stories and characters like never before.. I meant it. After the blockbuster Tillu Square, coming now with Paradha! Promising to leave you with an experience like never before. Promising to tell you a story like never before!"

In the first look poster, Anupama is surrounded by a group of women veiled with gunghats, with her being the sole figure without a 'paradha'. The concept video shared by the creators features an idol of a goddess and a shloka from Manusmruthi, emphasising the significance of honuoring women for the prosperity of society.
Directed by Praveen Kandregula, known for the acclaimed film Cinema Bandi, Paradha is produced by Vijay Donkada, Sreenivasulu PV, and Sridhar Makkuva under Ananda Media, with music composed by Gopi Sundar. Paradha has been filmed across locations including Delhi, Himachal Pradesh, and various villages. With Mridul Sujit Sen's exceptional cinematography, Paradha guarantees to captivate audiences with its compelling narrative and mesmerising songs.
