Actor Nithin, recognised for his role in the Tollywood film Baby, has been arrested in connection with a gold chain snatching incident. On Tuesday, at Maitrivanam X Roads in Ameerpet, Nithin reportedly snatched a gold chain from a woman, prompting her to shout for help. Two bystanders, A. Teja and K. Shiva, quickly intervened, catching him as he attempted to flee and turning him over to the authorities. The Madhura Nagar Police filed a case of snatching against him and subsequently placed him in judicial custody.
According to TOI, on Thursday, DCP West Zone SM Vijay Kumar honoured the two young men for their courageous actions in thwarting the crime. The incident occurred when a 20-year-old woman, employed by a private firm, was waiting for a bus at a stop. The suspect approached her on foot, grabbed her gold chain, and attempted to flee. As she cried out for help, Teja and Shiva quickly came to her aid, pursuing the thief and successfully apprehending him.
The Madhura Nagar police filed a case against Nithin, who was subsequently placed in judicial custody. As further details about the case are anticipated, the incident has certainly surprised many.
