Shah Rukh Khan has returned as the voice for Mufasa’s character in Mufasa: The Lion King. It is the sequel to the blockbuster animated movie The Lion King. SRK's elder son Aryan Khan, who was the voice of Simmba, has returned back with his role. The latest edition to the cast in the sequel is Shah Rukh's younger son AbRam Khan. As we know acting is considered one of the toughest professions as it needs to showcase emotions through expressions in front of the screen. But dubbing and becoming a voice-over artist is even tougher as it is only the voice which will convey the emotions. Several Indian celebrities have taken up the challenge and turned to voice-over artists for some popular Hollywood movies.

1) Shah Rukh Khan

King Khan not only has impeccable acting skills but his voice in the 2019 film The Lion King has won the hearts of millions. In the animated movie, he lends his voice to Mufasa’s character in the Hindi dub of the film. The Hindi version features the voices of actors Aryan Khan as Simba, Ashish Vidyarthi as Scar, Shreyas Talpade as Timon, Asrani as Zazu and Sanjay Mishra as Pumbaa. The movie is streaming on Disney Plus Hotstar.


Shah Rukh Khan as Mufasa and Aryan Khan as Simmba returned in the sequel of the movie Mufasa: The Lion King with the most anticipated addition in the cast AbRam Khan. The Hindi trailer of the movie has been released on 12th August.

2) Priyanka Chopra Jonas

The global icon has lent her voice to Elsa’s character in the 2019 film Frozen 2. The Hindi version also saw Parineeti Chopra voicing for Anna’s character. The animated family fantasy drama was directed by Jennifer Lee and Chris Buck. It is streaming on Disney Plus Hotstar. 

3) Tiger Shroff

The massy action hero of Bollywood Tiger Shroff has lent his voice to Tom Holland’s character in the Hindi dubbing of Spider-Man: Homecoming. The 2017 movie was directed by Jon Watts and starred Tom Holland, Zendaya, Michael Keaton, Marisa Tomei, Laura Harrier and Robert Downey Jr in significant roles. The film can be watched on Netflix.

4) Ananya Panday

The latest edition to the list is the emerging star of Bollywood Ananya Panday, who lends her voice to’s character in Inside Out 2. The family comedy-drama will be released on 14th June. The original version of the movie features Maya Hawke, Ayo Edebiri, Tony Hale, Adèle Exarchopoulos, Liza Lapira, Amy Poehler, Lewis Black and Paul Walter Hauser in key roles. 


5) Varun Dhawan

The popular star of Hindi cinema Varun Dhawan has dubbed for Chris Evans' voice in Captain America: Civil War. Directed by Anthony Russo and Patricia Russo, the movie was released in 2016. It featured Chris Evans, Robert Downey Jr, Sebastian Stan, Anthony Mackie, Jeremy Renner, Scarlett Johansson, Elizabeth Olsen and Paul Rudd in key roles. The movie is currently streaming on Disney Plus Hotstar.
