About Turbo
Directed by Vysakh and scripted by Midhun Manuel Thomas, Kannada actor Raj B. Shetty plays a dual role, portraying both a politician and a gangster. With a total budget of Rs 60 crore, Turbo revolves around the story of Turbo Jose, a Jeep driver from Idukki who is compelled to move to Chennai due to unforeseen circumstances.
The film stars Mammootty in the lead role as Jose. While it may not have met the lofty expectations set by Mammootty's previous blockbusters, Turbo has garnered praise for its solid portrayal of action drama.
The storyline and Mammootty's performance have been positively acclaimed. However, facing stiff competition and the high standards set by his earlier films seems to have impacted its performance at the box office. In Turbo, Mammootty portrays the character of Turbo Jose, an Idukki Jeep driver who encounters unforeseen challenges, leading to his relocation to Chennai. There, he becomes embroiled in a series of complications involving Indhulekha and her brother Jerry, which present even greater challenges.
