Kubra Aykut, a well-known Turkish influencer famous for her unique concept of marrying herself, tragically passed away on September 23, 2024. She was found dead after falling from the fifth floor of her luxurious apartment in Istanbul's Sultanbeyli district. According to The Sun, the authorities discovered a suicide note at the scene, which has raised concerns about her mental health.

In the days leading up to her death, Aykut shared a poignant message on social media, expressing her struggles with weight gain. She wrote, “I’ve gathered my energy, but I can’t seem to gain weight. I lose a kilogram every day. I don’t know what to do; I urgently need to gain weight.” This statement highlights the pressure many face regarding body image, especially in the influencer community.

Kubra Aykut had amassed a significant following, with over one million followers on TikTok and 225,000 on Instagram. She gained widespread attention in 2023 for her extravagant "wedding without a groom," where she celebrated herself in a beautiful white dress. In one of her viral videos, she cheerfully arrived at the ceremony in a car, proudly holding her bouquet. In another clip, she was seen enjoying a burger in her wedding dress, embracing her individuality and joy.

Following the news of her passing, many fans expressed their shock and condolences. Comments flooded social media, with one fan stating, “She had money, possessions, and beauty. She was full of life. I can’t believe she died by suicide. This is murder.” Another user reflected on the loneliness that often accompanies fame, remarking, “She posted a story 7 hours ago and now she is dead. This world is really lonely.”

Kubra's funeral will take place in her hometown, where her parents reside. Investigations into her death are ongoing and her body has been sent for a post-mortem examination.
