Upcoming Malayalam OTT Releases In August Second Half: The eighth month of the year is turning out to be exciting for movie lovers as some out-of-the-box movies and web series are arriving on streaming platforms. The first half of this month has seen some amazing Malayalam movies and web series like Mammootty's action thriller Turbo and Parvathy Thiruvothu’s Ullozhukku on OTT. The second half would be nothing less than experiencing extraordinary content for movie lovers. Here we have curated the list of upcoming Malayalam OTT releases that will be available on digital platforms like Netflix, Prime Video, Disney+ Hotstar, Zee5, Aha and o in the second half of August. 

Grrr

One of the most entertaining Malayalam movies of the year is all set to make its debut on OTT this month. Directed by Jayakrishnan, the comedy-drama revolves around the misadventures of a group of thrill seekers who inadvertently found themselves in the middle of a wild cat sanctuary. It stars Anagha, Shruti Ramachandran, Kunchacko Boban, Suraj Venjaramoodu, Shobi Thilakan, Rajesh Madhavan, Dhanesh Anand, Manju Pillai and Ramesh Pisharody in significant roles. Grrr will be streaming on Disney Plus Hotstar from August 20.

Manorathangal

The most anticipated movie of the year is all set to release on OTT this month. Presented by Kamal Haasan, the series is an anthology which has been directed by nine filmmakers and many well-known actors. It stars Mammootty, Mohanlal, Fahadh Faasil, Parvathy Thiruvothu, Asif Ali, Indrajith Sukumaran, Anumol, Durga Krishna, Madhoo and Nadhiya in key roles.  Manorathangal is all set to stream on Zee5 from 15th August.

Marivillin Gopurangal

The romantic drama movie revolves around a couple living in a big city and working hard to fulfil their dreams despite facing several obstacles and humorous situations. Arun Bose's directorial stars Indrajith Sukumaran, Vincy Aloshious, Shruti Ramachandran, Sarjano Khalid, Anshoor and Vasisht Umesh in pivotal roles. Released in theatres in May, the makers owned the OTT streaming platform of Sony Liv. As per reports, the movie is all set to stream in the second half of the month. However, the makers have not announced the release date.
