Several blockbuster hits from the South that were released in theaters over the past few months are now gearing up for their digital debut. This week, highly anticipated films such as "Aavesham" and "Rathnam," among others, are set to be available for streaming.

Here's a detailed list of the most eagerly awaited South Indian movies that are coming to platforms like Netflix, Prime Video, Disney+ Hotstar, and others, ready to entertain audiences from the comfort of their homes.

Most-Awaited South OTT Releases May 2024 Week 2

Aavesham (Amazon Prime Video)

‘Aavesham’ is a 2024 Malayalam action comedy film directed by Jithu Madhavan. Produced by Nazriya Nazim and Anwar Rasheed, it features Fahadh Faasil, Mithun Jai Shankar, and Roshan Shanavas in lead roles with others in supporting roles. The film's music is by Sushin Shyam, with Sameer Thahir handling cinematography and Vivek Harshan editing.

Aavesham will make its OTT debut on Amazon Prime Video on May 9, 2024, according to 123 Telugu.

Aadujeevitham- The Goat Life (Disney+Hotstar)

‘Aadujeevitham - The Goat Life’ is a 2024 Malayalam survival drama directed and co-produced by Blessy. It's based on Benyamin's 2008 novel "Aadujeevitham," inspired by the true story of Najeeb, a Malayali worker enslaved as a goatherd in Saudi Arabia. The film, an India-US collaboration, stars Prithviraj Sukumaran, Jimmy Jean-Louis, and K. R. Gokul, with supporting roles by Talib Al Balushi, Rik Aby, Amala Paul, and Shobha Mohan. It is banned in all Khaleeji nations except the UAE, similar to the novel's ban.

Starting May 10, 2024, ‘Aadujeevitham’ will be available for streaming and is poised to delight viewers on Disney+Hotstar.

Rathnam (Amazon Prime Video)

‘Rathnam’ is a 2024 Tamil action movie directed by Hari, produced by Stone Bench Films, Zee Studios, and Invenio Origin. It features Vishal as the lead, with Priya Bhavani Shankar, Ramachandra Raju, and others in key roles. This film marks the third collaboration between Vishal and director Hari, following "Thaamirabharani" and "Poojai."

Rathnam is reportedly set to make its OTT debut on Amazon Prime Video, this week.
