Urvashi Rautela, who is garnering praise for her performance in the Telugu movie Daaku Maharaaj, also starring Nandamuri Balakrishna in the lead role, has been embroiled in controversies. Before the controversy surrounding her song Dabidi Dibidi from the movie, Urvashi faced backlash for her private bathroom video that got leaked in 2024. Recently, the actress addressed this topic, which generated debate on social media, revealing that the makers of the film Ghuspaithiya had planned to leak the clip from the movie.

Urvashi Rautela's bathroom video went viral in 2024, leaving netizens in a state of disbelief. While some sympathized with the actress, others condemned the breach of privacy and called it a PR stunt. In a conversation with Bollywood Bubble, Urvashi broke her silence on the controversy and revealed the purpose behind leaking the video, explaining that it was a scene from Ghuspaithiya. She shared how the makers approached her with this idea as they were in debt and on the verge of selling their land.

She said, “They had accumulated some debt and were in financial trouble. They had to let go of their land. They were about to be on the streets. So, they came and discussed it with my business manager and head.”

Clarifying the viral bathroom video, Urvashi added, "They asked for our permission, saying it was a scene from the movie. We hadn’t done anything special; it was just a scene from the film. The makers requested if we could leak it beforehand. It was also a sort of awareness campaign, urging girls to be more careful."
